Melbourne after competing in annual
yacht race to Devonport.
Remembered forever
The 9.5 metre yacht was returning to Melbourne after competing in the annual yacht race across Bass Strait from Queenscliff to Devonport. The yacht and the six crew was lost at sea with no evidence of the missing vessel and its crew ever found other than a life-jacket and some small articles that were washed ashore in Victoria and Tasmania some 16 months later.
